February - Quick Colorado Trip

In the end of a January I found a smoking hot deal on airline tickets to fly to Colorado for $85 round trip. So Jack, Luke, Thomas, and I hopped on a plane and flew out to see some snow and hug Grandma, Grandpa and Rachel.

Human Burrito
I don't think the boys expected it to be quite as cold as it was.

Or how much time it takes to put on all your gear just to be able to go outside.

We were lucky they had a great snowfall just a couple of days before we got there,

Even though Tommy didn't get to play outside as much as the other boys he had a ton of fun playing with all of Grandma's toys and showing off how could take a few steps all by himself.

Rachel gave them a tour of the best spots in the yard to make snow angels.

Luke was brave and stuck his face in the snow.

That afternoon we met our cousins  at the par to go sledding. The boys were hooked. They sledded everyday we were there,

Cousin James is only a little younger than Thomas. They were in twin snowsuits.

Grandma gave the boys an art lesson and let them play with oil pastels and mineral spirits. This was Jack's.

The next day I got to take them sledding while Thomas took a nap. We had so much fun snowball fighting.

Ben and Elizabeth came to join us as well. Though I don't have a great picture of them. I got some great movies of the sled runs though.

See the scratch on Jack's face? He got it during this wipeout,

The next Day we had a birthday party for Elizabeth. The boys didn't get the memo that it was supposed to be a dress up party so they rummaged through the dressup box for these silly outfits.

She had  Balloons all over the floor to play with, so fun!

Then it was Sunday. We went over to Ben and Brea's house so Elizabeth could show us her room. She's so cute!

It also happened to be SuperBowl Sunday and we were in Bronco country so we HAD to get shirts,

They won!! So of course we had to eat Bronco breakfast with Grandpa. McDonalds gives free breakfast from McDonalds the morning after the Bronco's win in Bronco country in case you didn't know.

Pure Joy

Thomas learned how to point

Rachel told an action packed story

The kids got in some last minutes sledding before we had to fly home.

They built forts on the tennis court all weekend. By Monday a lot of snow had melted.

Then it was time to say goodbye so we hugged and took pictures.

And said goodbye to our home in the snow.

We had so much fun. here is one last video to prove it!!
