February- Luke's Birthday Baptism Weekend

A couple of weeks after we flew to Colorado, Luke celebrated his 8th birthday and was baptized. We had some special visitors come to help us celebrate. Ya Ya and Pa flew in on Thursday evening and got to watch Mer's Lacrosse game. This was the second time they came to visit in February, they flew out the week before we went to Colorado to be there when Doug was ordained as the new bishop of our ward.

Saturday was Luke's Birthday and he woke up to a pile of presents and Birthday Crepes.

Luke spent most of his day playing but in the middle of the day we stopped over to the mall to visit Max who was being judged at the District Science fair.

After Max came home we zoomed over to see a movie, Kung Fu Panda 3. And brought home Pizza for dinner.

After Dinner Doug, Max, and Pa headed out to Max's Science Fair award Ceremony where he won First Place in his category.

For Dessert Luke wanted a layer cake.  He drew me a picture and I did my best to make something like it.

Okay it wasn't exactly like the picture but he was happy with it and we had fun making it.

On Sunday Luke was baptized.

Pa and I gave the talks. We were surrounded by a ton of great friends that are like family to us. We are so glad YaYa and Pa were able to come for it.

Sunday evening we went for a walk and enjoy the beautiful February weather.

Happy Birthday to a smarty, funny, happy, adventurous Luke. We love him and are so glad he is a part of our family.
