Mer's Baptism Day, June 14th, 2008

As promised here are some pictures from the weekend Meredith was baptized. Doug's parents came into town for it and Mike and Sher too. We had a great time as you can see. Meredith was very excited that they could be there on her special day. Her Baptism was a on Saturday at 10am. Grandma and Grandpa gave the talks and Dad baptized her. Afterward we hung ate lunch and hung out for a while playing the Wii (thank you Mike and Sher), playing Rummikub, and getting massages by Meredith. Later we drove around a bit and hung out at the beach for a while, bringing home pizza for dinner. Yum!!!

Our Four Month Old

Here's Luke Abbott Markos...our 4 month old. He had a check up today and is doing great at 15 lbs. He has recently learned to grab and eat things and is so much fun to play with and make him giggle. He seems to be in constant motion with his legs and arms always kicking.
Luke holding the "Bee-terfly" (named so by Max after we couldn't decide if it was a bee or butterfly)

So we are all home this summer spending our days playing, swimming, fighting, laughing, reading, and doing some chores too. Mer and Max have been out of school for about three weeks and already it has been eventful with a Birthday and a baptism for Meredith and family visiting from Atlanta. I'll catch you all up with pictures from it next time.
Here's a shot of the fun activity of the day. Shaving balloons. As we were getting them ready to shave they kept popping on the grass and spraying us all with shaving cream bits (Hilarious for Mer, me, and Jack, super maddening for Max who was the one who kept touching them on the ground). We went through 4 before we finally laid a sheet down so they could actually shave them. After they shaved them they couldn't get the balloons to actually pop with the razors so Max pipes up "I know how to get them to pop"...on the grass of course. Anyway it was fun... and no, Jack didn't get to use a real razor.
