Halloween

I'm a little slow to post this, I have some good excuses but I won't bother with them. Halloween turned out to be a very busy day for us. 12 mi run for me (1:46), Soccer games for Mer and Max followed by a soccer party for Mer, then an "activity days" horse adventure for Mer, and finally the much anticipated trick-or-treating. I love Halloween because it means I get to sew costumes and I get to see what my creative kids think of to be. It's a fun challenge for me. And here they are, Ninja Max, Princess Leia, Ninja Jack, and Superman. It was Jack's idea to be a ninja. Max Max has been wanting me to make a hat like these for quite a while so he saw the ninja opportunity and took it. Mer painted her slipper boots and endured many fittings of the princess leia dress. And Luke wore Jack's costume from years past.
We spent our evening with friends from Max's soccer team.

Jack started the day with a fever and wasn't feeling too perky but he did manage to stike some ninja poses for the camera. What is it with our kids and mystery fevers lately??
Han Solo and Luke Skywalker were intrumental in persuading Mer to be Princess Leia.

Max ran from house to house

Luke became a pro at trick-or-treating, though he couldn't quite make out the words

He sure got good at begging for candy. He was in heaven really.FUN!!

Oh, one more thing...check out Max's ninja moves.
