The pencils are sharpened...
everybody has new shoes...
our teeth are sparkling...
been to the beach twice this week...
and finally to Ben and Jerry's for one last celebration...
And some silly faces...
... and we're ready for school!! Yep the kids go back to school tomorrow. At least Max will go tomorrow. Meredith has had a fever on and off for the last 3 days and today seems to be getting a lot worse. She'll spend her first day of school at the doctors office unless she wakes up with a miraculous recovery. I'm not sure how that's going to go over. I am sad summer is over. I love the life of no set schedule to drive kids places. I asked Jack if he was sad that Mer and Max were going back to school. He told me that he was, but Jack and Luke have become very good at playing with one another lately and with some swimming lessons, playgroups, and storytimes on the schedule he definitely won't be bored.

No way, I can't believe you guys start school tomorrow!! I'm glad that's not us. I still have... 3 weeks! to revel in my glory days of having no kids in school. We're mostly ready, but have a few loose ends to tie up. And a few celebratory outings wouldn't hurt, either.
I hope Meredith feels better soon, and that it's nothing serious.
And I hope Jacob and Alex play as well as it sounds Jack and Luke do. All I know is that I'm getting tired of breaking up constant fights.
We started school on Friday! Can't believe it's time for the structure already.
We are all so excited for school to start and sad for summer to end as well. Please let's get together for a few play dates when the older ones are in school. We'd love that.
