Luke Turns SIX!!

I have a lot of blogging to catch up on but today I'm just going to share pictures of Luke's birthday. Luke turned 6! He was so excited for his birthday he made himself a paper chain and counted down the days. He woke up bright and early and opened his present from Grandma. Jack is his right hand playmate and they went right to work helping me decorate and make crepes for breakfast.

I sent him to school with treats for his class.  And picked him up for lunch at McDonalds.  When he came home from school his presents were hidden all over the house so he had to search for them. And then the present opening began.

After a tasty dinner of Pizza and Plums...

We loaded into the car go to the movies.  The Lego Movie of course...in 3d

Luke chose an oreo ice cream pie with a hulk on the top for his birthday cake.

Happy Birthday to my sweet, funny, silly, happy six year old.

Superbowl Face Off

Last night we held an epic superbowl party. We invited a nice family Doug knows from work. Doug planned and shopped for it all week long. He made what he called the "Highlights of his Sunday dinners" throughout the year.  Chicken wings, potstickers, veges and dip, a variety of chips and salsas, and a few other things he found as he perused the isles of publix.

Max washed his Wilson jersey so it would be nice and clean.
We had a fun time watching the Broncos get slaughtered.

And now here are some other pictures from the week. Jack turned in his report on Theodore Roosevelt that took him two grueling weeks to write. He was especially proud of the cover that he drew.

I spent any free time I over the last couple of weeks making/quilting our orange tree quilt you can see it behind jack's head on the counter but here it is in all it's finished glory. The details to come soon on BSM.

Luke was sick for with a fever for a week. He willingly took naps and I read him a ton of stories. It was kind of nice to have my little sidekick home. Rachel we are getting a lot of good use out of your Christmas pillowcases. I think some valentine ones might be in order :)
He really just layed around miserably.
Oh and one more cheery phone pic taken when we had to take Mer to school extra early one day not too long ago.  These 3 will never say no to a breakfast at McDonalds.

  And that's a wrap!
