September was one busy month for us! I'm not sure how we are already a week into October. We had one event filled month and I warn you that there are a lot of pictures posted here today. Let's start with Doug's Birthday. 38!!
I think he made the kids sing Happy Birthday 3 full times because they weren't singing in unison.
His current loves are fishing and football. He is proving as good at guessing the out come of football games as he is at guessing his presents and the endings of movies. He is currently leading his Pigskin Pickem's pool.
I spent the first part of the month frantically sewing projects and the 150 + mockups to turn in for the sewing book I am working on. I am happy to say that the projects are all mailed and I only have a handful of mock-ups left to sew. Here is a sneak peak of one of my bags that will be in there.
The day after they were mailed away Jack turned 8!!
I am grateful for this sweet boy in my life. Here is a little run down of how his big day went.
It started with a few morning presents to start the day.
A traditional crepe breakfast at his request.
I sent in some monster donut pops to help his class celebrate.
He met me for lunch at Subway..His favorite.
A few more presents after school.
And a little Lego building.

For dinner he requested coconut shrimp. It was a labor of love to make but yummy to eat.
"delish" says Jack
Then even more presents after dinner when dad got home. This kid got way too many presents. :) and then he asked "aren't there any more?"
A chocolate Oreo ice cream pie for dessert.
The day after Jack's birthday my mom and dad came to town to be here for Jacks birthday. The day after they came just happened to be Mom's birthday. She swore she already celebrated it before she came and didn't want me to go out of my way. But we celebrated a little with a trip to the huge quilt shop for a little fabric shopping...
with Ice cream...
and Strawberry shortcake for dessert when the kids came home.
It was such a treat to bum around town with her for the day. She also helped me make 141 Neighbor cake muffins and 2 Cream Cheese bundt cakes for the upcoming baptism. Thank you mom!!!
The Next day the next set of grandparents arrived. I am sad that I barely took any pictures of the whole weekend.
We watched Soccer games in the rain. Again!
Luke has figured out how to score a goal...
Max is fierce and always where he needs to be. Yesterday he planned the play and scored a picture perfect shot.
Jack has great fancy footwork...
Mer knows how to turn on the speed.
The mountain man at sea level
The kids went swimming at Pa and Ya Ya's hotel and we finished the night at Del's Freze
Then Sunday was Jack's Baptism. We invited a lot of friends from soccer and work and church.
It was such a nice evening. We are very blessed here in Florida.
Grandma Nedra and Ya Ya gave the talks. The Grandpas said the prayers and were witnesses. Mer sang a duet with our sweet friend. Jack's primary teacher made him a cool sign.
Thank you Grandmas and Grandpas for coming to celebrate this special time with us!! You were such a big help!!
Oh and a couple more September things. You may have noticed Luke got a buzz as short as his dad's.
And Mer discovered Instagram and browses it every chance she gets. :)
Over and Out!
